The city of Lübeck is located in northern Germany at the Baltic Sea and known for its rich history and cultural importance. The old city center with 1.800 medieval buildings is a UNESCO world heritage site. Lübeck’s past as a wealthy trading city has been immortalized in the famous noble-price winning novel "Buddenbrooks" by the Lübeck-born author Thomas Mann.
The scientific program will be held at the Media Docks, a modern conference center, which is located directly at the river Trave and within 5 min. walking distance of the old town.
